Tuan Sivakumar a/l Varatharaju Naidu (Batu Gajah) asked the Minister of Education to state the ministry's comprehensive policy for ensuring the sustainability of Tamil education in Malaysia, including long-term plans to improve infrastructure, strengthen the curriculum, and reinforce the position of vernacular schools within the constitutional framework and national education aspirations.

The MP congratulated the government on the announcement of the construction of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram in Budget 2026 and asked when the project would commence and what facilities would be provided. He also inquired about the Ministry of Education Malaysia's plans to upgrade other dilapidated Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) schools and the relocation process for under-enrolled schools.

The MP praised the Prime Minister and the MADANI government for allocating RM2 billion in the 2026 Budget to upgrade over 520 dilapidated schools nationwide, emphasizing the government's commitment to equitable education.

The MP highlighted the reconstruction of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram as a success, presenting it as a reflection of Malaysia's progress and the government's responsive approach.
