The Minister of Finance announced a RM2 billion allocation for upgrading over 520 dilapidated schools, including one Chinese and one Tamil school. Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram, Pahang, was specifically mentioned for rebuilding, and an additional RM100 million was provided for extra classrooms in high-density schools and 350 preschool classes.

YAB Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim reported that RM2.99 million was spent on 6,000 laptop units for Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) SJK(T) schools in phases. He also stated that RM218,306 was allocated for a STEM literacy screening program for SJK(T) students in 2024.

The Prime Minister stated that RM698,227 million was allocated for STEM literacy, which included Science Bulletins in Tamil and English for 525 Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) schools.

The Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, stated that 60% of the 2025 allocation had been approved, including RM698,000 for STEM literacy focused on education, which encompassed Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) SJK(T) and the poor. He also clarified that the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) should coordinate its programs with other ministries for comprehensive development.

The Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, stated that connectivity issues were not exclusive to Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) but affected many schools across various regions. He also disagreed with the perception that these issues indicated marginalization of the Indian community.
