Tuan Chong Zhemin proposed channeling revenue from alcohol excise duty to a special fund for vernacular schools, including SJK(T), instead of the Consolidated Account, to ensure the funds benefit education and unity.

The MP for Kampar, Tuan Chong Zhemin, raised questions regarding the Ministry of Education's additional budget for security and cleaning contract wages and the shortage of headmasters in Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) (SJK(C)) schools in Kinta Selatan due to low allowances, but did not mention Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) SJK(T) schools.

Tuan Chong Zhemin (Kampar) raised a point of order, noting that Professor Datuk Dr Teo Kok Seong's statement, which claimed vernacular schools hindered unity, had been recorded by the police under the Penal Code and Communications and Multimedia Act. He then asked if this represented Perikatan Nasional's official stance.
