The Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha binti Mustafa, reported that the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA)'s refurbished laptop program for Tamil-medium national-type schools SJK(T) was fully implemented, distributing 6,000 laptops to 520 SJK(T) schools nationwide with an allocation of RM2.994 million. She also stated that a program to repair and upgrade Information and Communications Technology (ICT) labs in 387 SJK(T) schools was initiated this year.

She also stated that 512 students from Kelantan received one-off assistance from the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) for private early childhood education and higher education, and affirmed MITRA's commitment to ensuring the Indian community nationwide benefits from its initiatives.
