Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong (Ayer Hitam) requested a breakdown of allocations for SJKC and SJKT schools, stating he had raised this matter previously during the debate and sought a written answer if an immediate oral response was not possible.

The MP thanked the PM for the RM1 billion allocation for all schools, including SJKT, for the second consecutive year. He then questioned the transparency of maintenance aid distribution for SJKC/SMJK over the past two years and asked if any schools are still awaiting funds.

Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong (Ayer Hitam) asked the Ministry of Home Affairs for its stance on a recent Federal Court decision that affirmed the existence of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) (SJK(C)) and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) SJK(T) as vernacular schools, questioning if the MADANI government accepted this legal fact based on the social contract.

Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong welcomed the RM1 billion allocation for school maintenance and requested the Ministry of Education to provide a detailed breakdown of this funding by school type, specifically mentioning SJK(T) among others.
