SJK(T) Ladang Katumba

YB Tuan Sanisvara Nethaji Rayer a/l Rajaji noted the government's upgrade of 1,200 dilapidated schools by 2025 and the RM67 billion allocated for education. He then asked about the construction of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Sungai Bakap in Pulau Pinang and the future of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram in Pahang and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Ketumbar in Kedah, expressing hope for their development under the current government.

Tuan Sanisvara Nethaji Rayer a/l Rajaji (Jelutong) stated that the Ministry of Education would ensure that four specific Tamil-medium national-type schools (Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Sungai Bakap, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Ketumbar, and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Badenoch) would receive attention in the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (RMK-12).

The MP thanked the Minister and Ministry of Education for initiatives taken to ensure the speedy construction of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Jeram in Pahang, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Katumba in Kedah, and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Sungai Bakap in Pulau Pinang.

The Minister of Education, Puan Fadhlina binti Sidek, addressed the status of SJK(T) Sungai Bakap's construction, stating it was delayed by court proceedings but KPM and the Ministry of Finance were seeking a solution. She also confirmed KPM's in-principle agreement to lease three acres of land to SJK(T) Ladang Jeram for new construction and pledged that SJK(T) Ladang Ketumbar would not be closed despite the plantation's closure.

Tuan Sanisvara Nethaji Rayer a/l Rajaji (Jelutong) advocated for the government to address issues concerning Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil SJK(T) Sungai Bakap, SJK(T) Ladang Jeram in Kuantan, and SJK(T) Ladang Katumba.
