The Batang Padang Muallim District Tamil School Headmasters' Association, in collaboration with Makkal Osai, successfully organized a "I Am a Reporter Scrapbook Competition" for Tamil schools. The event saw 271 students from 19 Tamil schools in the district participate, with SJK(T) Slim River students securing first place in both school categories. The generous decision to award 25 winners in each category, with prize money up to RM300 for top winners, brought widespread happiness to students, teachers, and parents.
